Sustainability
Our sustainability policy is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with a strong focus on health, gender equality, sustainable energy, responsible consumption and production and partnership for goal achievement. In our efforts towards a greener future, we have taken concrete steps. For example, CO 2 emissions have been drastically reduced and we have switched to CO 2 -neutral energy.
Solar panels have been installed at our location in Dordrecht and we encourage sustainable transport by supporting employees in the purchase of electric and plug-in hybrid cars. We communicate about our own sustainability goals, offer training to increase awareness and advise and support with sustainability registration.
Social awareness
We are proud to sponsor the Augustijnenkerk and the Dordrechts Museum in Dordrecht, among others. Verstegen also supports the work of the Anders Foundation and the Dordtse Helden: a social youth network that forms a link between Dordrecht residents who need a helping hand and young people who volunteer to provide help.
A special project is the buddy project, for people with disabilities and status holders. Volunteers have regular contact with friends, walking, cooking or drinking coffee together. Practical help is also provided. As an accounting firm we work a lot with figures, but the story behind those figures is much more important. A helping hand can give great satisfaction and that is why we wholeheartedly support the connection between young and old.
