The aim of the Top Income Standards Act (WNT) is to combat excessive remuneration and severance pay for top officials in the (semi) public sector. If the remuneration or severance payment of a top executive exceeds the standard, this may constitute an undue payment. This means that the top official must pay this back to the Institution.

In addition, we would like to emphasize that failure to comply with the Top Income Standards Act (WNT) cannot only have financial consequences for the top official.
